Jay Somerset is a writer and editor living in York. From his Spadina Avenue office, he writes about everything from golf to New Age music. “Local Hero,” his profile of the music promoter Dan Burke, from Taddle Creek No. 27, won the Professional Writers Association of Canada’s 2012 features writing award.
